WHY the BENEFIT CONCERT?

Unfortunately, the fund did not start out with a financial foundation to sustain itself.  As scholarships were granted, funds were not replenished.  An active scholarship fund needs a sold starting base to perpetuate scholarships from interest only.  Unfortunately, the fund currently has approximately $1,500.

We need your support - If you are not able to attend this benefit concert or are too far away to attend,  please consider a direct donation to this ailing scholarship fund.

The South Milwaukee Music Parents Association (SMHS primary music booster group) has taken on this funding challenge for 2009 in hopes of continuing this worthy scholarship for future band students who desire to pursue a music education..

With the help of the South Milwaukee District Music educators. dedicated alumni and Waukesha's big band - the Jazz Express, a benefit concert will be held on February 12, 2009.
