National Art Honor Society (NAHS) at SMHS hosts events
and competes regionally and
statewide in the Visual Arts Competition (VAC).
To raise funds for art supplies and other VAC costs, NAHS brought back the
Persian Market that was traditionally a South Milwaukee High School auction
to raise money for students with special needs.
Many faculty members and students donated items in 2007
and the event proved to be a great success, raising approximately $1200!
At the 2007 VAC state competition, NAHS members took
numerous awards to include: three-1st place awards, two-2nd place awards,
two-3rd place awards, and one honorable mention.
We are very proud of our hardworking, talented students.
Thank you for your interest in the Arts at SMHS and for your support.
